Does terror listen to music?

I wonder what type of music those Islamist brothers were listening to right before or while shooting at innocent cartoonists in Paris…..

I wonder what music is played in U.S. drone operator command centers when their drones kill innocent people…

I wonder what music was played while an innocent man in Saudi Arabia was flogged simply for self-expression…

I wonder what music is played in Abu Ghraib prison when prisoners are tortured…

These four pieces of news flashed in front of my eyes just in the past few days and I couldn’t but wonder…

Isn’t music supposed to heal  and unite us in our collective humanity?

Doesn’t music’s common chord resonate in each and every one of us?

Then does terror not listen to music? Does terror not feel harmony? Does terror not grasp the meaning of  lyrics imbued with love and forgiveness?

Does terror march to a different beat?!! Are pounding drums of fear and insecurity so loud as to deafen and silence music?

The music in my heart tells me NO!!!!  The music in my ears sings: “LOVE conquers ALL”
