2.@artistsedge Debra, you were a great coach and motivator! :)
I finally found some time to meet with my music producer Elton Ahi and start talking about production direction for "The Last Scar". String Instruments are in the works: Cello, Violins, Guitar! 🙂 #music #singer #songwriter
I can't wait to start work on my next song titled: "The last scar" Lyrics and melody were completed a while ago. I already have an idea of the visual story as well. I just have to finish reaching out to friends to bring some visibility to my current music video: "Tell Me Your Name" before starting with that.
To kickoff the New Year...
Here's the music video for my song: "Tell Me Your Name"
It'll also be available for digital streaming and download on January 11st.
I hope in a small way, this music video supports our LOVE as straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, … loving human beings.

Music Video Title: Tell Me Your Name Lyrics, Melody, Vocals: Shawn Zahedi Music Production: Rusk Studios (Elton Ahi) Video Production: Hailong Niu www... Putting the plumbing together so that I can just focus on making music.... I signed up with TuneCore publishing. Next step... signing up with a PRO. 🙂
The first "Like" of the teaser for "Tell Me Your Name" on SoundCloud. THANK YOU Ann! I've been away from social media for quite a while. To get my feet wet, I'm focusing on FB first (and as I have very little free time right now). I'm hoping soon, I can share and connect on other platforms as well.
After doing some research on music distribution companies, I narrowed the list to cdbaby and TuneCore. It was a close call but I decided to go with TuneCore. I registered with them but to register the #song "Tell Me Your Name" I had to have album art. I got that ready this past weekend and will register that song soon. #music #art
May 21, 2017: Day 2 of shooting of #music #video for "Tell Me Your Name". Two long but very fun days of shooting.. and it truly was MAGICAL. When the director, producer, AD, Gripp, Gaffer, and actors are all in "the zone", you see magic happen and something beautiful created right in front of your eyes. Hailong Niu; Justin Richards; Bryant T. Griffin; Forrest Lark; McKenna Guy; Nelson Flores; Eero Liu; Maria Ignacia Hojas
May 20, 2017: Morning of Day 1 of shooting of #music #video for "Tell Me Your Name". Hailong Niu, Justin Richards, Bryant T. Griffin hard at work planning for the day.
May 19, 2017: A day before the start of the two-day video shoot for "Tell Me Your Name"... cameras and other equipment have been rented and secured; cast of 4 and crew of 5 all on-board; and location prepped for the shoot.
In mid-April this year, we wrote the first scenes for the music video of "Tell Me Your Name" and started scouting for location and talent. After a few attempts, we were able to secure a beautiful location (a friend's house) and very talented actors who could authentically express the #love between a straight couple and a gay couple. #music This pic is a section from one of the first versions of the story line. #art
Late February of this year, I talked to a few music video producers in L.A. to produce my song: "Tell Me Your Name" and chose to work with Hailong Niu. I liked his work and felt he understood what I was trying to communicate through this song.
Catching up on all that happened this year... This past February, I finished recording and producing my song "Tell Me Your Name" at RUSK Studios. It turned out GREAT! Since then, I've been working on producing the #music video. I can't wait to share this song with everyone. More to share soon. Here's a snippet...

it's funny how...
I love my 'killer'
who will kill me
'cause I'm gay
'cause I'm black
'cause I'm different
it's funny how...
I love my 'killer'
the frightened one
who fears me
who fears love
who fears life
it's funny how...
his bullet, his hate
can't kill
as I
as love
as life
never die
only grow
stronger
